Ski Resort Chopok Sever (North) lies in Liptov region in Demänovská Dolina, south of Liptovský Mikuláš, on the northern slopes of the Low Tatras.

The most beautiful valley of Low Tatras is the Demänovská Dolina Valley, measuring 16,000 m (52,493 ft). It stretches from the main ridge of the mountains Ďumbier 2,043 m (6,703 ft) peaks Krúpová hola 1,927 m (6,322 ft), Chopok 2,024 m (6,640 ft), Dereše 2,003 m (6,572 ft), Polana 1,889 m (6,198 ft) to the north of Liptovská Valley. In addition to a remarkable scenery, landscape and aesthetic values, the most valuable are the karst Demänovský kras and lake Vrbické pleso.

Demänovská Valley lies in its own area of NAPANT - in and there are built extensive accommodation and catering capacity, lifts, ski lifts and slopes. Lifts and cableways rising from Lúčky altitude of 900 m (2,953 ft) above sea level to Chopok of up to 2,004 m (6,575 ft) asl.
