Orava Museum of P.O. Hviezdoslav

Orava Museum of P.O. Hviezdoslav was founded in 1980 through a fusion of the Orava Museum in Oravský Podzámok and the Literary Museum of P.O. Hviezdoslav in Dolný Kubín.

The museum documents the natural features and the social development of the Orava region. Its collections also include the historical stock of the Caplovic Library.

The Museum of P.O. Hviezdoslav is a literary-biographical exhibition located in the historical building of the Caplovic Library and open its doors to the public in 1949. The exhibition presents a complex view of the life and work of the greatest Slovak poet - realist P.O. Hviezdoslav.
